Description
Speciality: State of Michigan Respiratory Therapist License
Duration: 06 months of Contract to FTE
Location: Detroit, MI
Note: Candidates will be responsible for covering all relocation expenses independently, including travel (airfare), accommodation costs and any other costs.
Required Skills:
• License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan
• Certification: BLS
• Education: Associate of Science Degree
• Must Have: NICU experience. Must be current or within the last year.
• Technology: Cerner, High Frequency Oscillating Ventilator, Servo I and U
• Note: ICU workers with only long term care facility experience will not work. No CRT candidates.
• On Call: No Block Scheduling: Yes.
Summary:
• Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
• Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
• Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned.
• Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
• Adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
• Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.
• Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Skills: Required Skills & Experience:
• Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
