We are hiring an After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Kansas City, MO and Leawood, KS area. This position is eligible for a $10,000 first year success bonus to reward the accomplishment of key milestones during your first year!
Working hours for this position would be 7 days on Monday through Sunday ,
5 PM to 8 AM followed by 7 days off.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Respond to after-hours and on-call patient needs by performing urgent assessments, managing symptoms and pain, and providing compassionate end-of-life support in real time
- Support and guide patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and crisis situations, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout the hospice journey
- Apply strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to coordinate care needs, respond to changing patient conditions, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation
- Work independently, but never alone
- Travel to patient homes within assigned territory

After Hours RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work
- Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care, Hospice experience preferred
- Current driver’s license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations

The low end of the range includes compensation related to salary and first year success bonus. The high end of the range is inclusive of productivity bonuses and additional shift work that is paid at a premium (i.e., after hours, weekends, on-call). *Compensation potential varies by market.
