Charge Nurse RN - Admissions

Rosewood, a distinguished HumanGood life plan community in Bakersfield, CA, is hiring a Full-time Charge Nurse RN-Admissions for its skilled nursing team.  The Charge Nurse RN-Admissions is responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care;” 

** Full-time   ** 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM   ** $43-$52/hr.  (DOE)  

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Current RN license 
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience as an Admissions RN 
• Minimum 1 year experience supervising RNs, LVNs, and CNAs
• Ability and interest in working the floor when it is needed
• Current CPR certification
• Prior nursing experience in senior care, skilled nursing, post-acute or sub-acute care is preferred

Work Duties:

• Assesses resident’s needs at the time of admission and continually evaluates residents’ condition during the duration of their stay and promotes the highest functional level of independence possible (keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations, and the community’s safety procedures).
• Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision making processes.
• In the supervisory role, the Nurse Supervisor takes responsibility to lead the CNA, LVN, and RN team and ensure that all procedures are followed during emergency situations.
• Assures that nursing staff is carrying out their respective duties toward resident care, which includes monitoring call lights so that they are promptly answered; and other resident and family care needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Actively engages residents in participation in daily activities which are part of resident’s rhythm of daily life (including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
