Responsibilities:
As an Inpatient RN you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients during each shift. This role prioritizes and coordinates nursing interventions efficiently, ensuring the safe and effective use of time and resources while practicing within a standards‑based care framework. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, supports patient and family needs, and contributes to a positive, professional care environment.
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process and unit standards.
- Prioritizes and coordinates care for an assigned patient group throughout the shift.
- Administers medications and treatments safely and documents accurately.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support care goals.
- Responds appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Delegates tasks and supports LPNs and assistive personnel within their scope.
- Maintains required competencies, adheres to policies, and participates in quality initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse License required
- Academic Preparation:
Degree from accredited academic nursing program - Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
- BLS
