Work Schedule:
80% FTE, day/evening shift. Operational hours of the Prep/Recovery Cath Lab/EP Lab are 5:30am to 7:00pm. On-call responsibilities may be required for some weekends and/or holidays with a 60-minute response time. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. Hours may vary depending on department need. You will work onsite at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:
- Provide specialized pre- and post-procedure care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, structural heart, and interventional nephrology procedures in UW Health's nationally recognized Heart & Vascular program.
- Care for a diverse patient population in a 12-bed prep/recovery unit, utilizing strong intermediate care (IMC) assessment skills while preparing patients for procedures, recovering post-procedure patients, and caring for select higher-acuity patients, including STEMI and TAVR patients requiring extended recovery.
- Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and Cath Lab nurses to deliver safe, efficient, patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
- 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required
- Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
- Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
- Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
- Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required
- Certification in area of specialty Preferred
