Description
The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technicalactivities associated with the performance of screening and diagnosticmammography procedures. The MammographyTechnologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breasttissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detectbreast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment andsurvival.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current State License or Certificate in state where theywill be working
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
ARRT (M)
MA stateradiation control license by start date - 2–3-week turnaround from applicationupon offer
Must becomfortable working independently (4+ years of experience preferred)
2D and 3Dexperience - Must be able to provide documentation of at least 8 hours oftraining on both by start date
Diagnosticexperience on top of screening experience – will be doing both
Must havedocumentation of CEUs going back three years to present by start date
COVIDvaccine preferred but not required - Declination accepted but mustwear mask during flu season if so
