Compensation:
- Starting at $75 per hour (DOE)
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Part-Time School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) to support a school district in the Homeland area for the 2026–2027 school year. This onsite opportunity offers up to 16 hours per week, ideal for clinicians seeking flexibility while working in a collaborative school-based environment.
The Physical Therapist will partner with school teams to support students’ physical development, functional mobility, and access to educational settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to school-aged students
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and reassessments
- Develop IEP goals, accommodations, and service recommendations
- Address gross motor development, strength, balance, posture, mobility, and functional access needs
- Support safe participation in classroom, playground, and school activities
- Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and service logs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
- Travel between assigned school sites within the Homeland area, as needed
Requirements:
- Active California Physical Therapist license
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Ability to manage a part-time caseload (up to 16 hours per week)
- Availability for the 2026–2027 school year
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel
