?? Role Overview

The CT / CAT Scan Technologist produces high-quality computerized tomographic images as ordered by physicians. These cross-sectional images provide critical detail of soft tissue, bones, and blood vessels, supporting accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions.

You’ll play a key role in patient care by obtaining histories, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and performing specialized CT imaging tasks with precision and compassion.

? Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT imaging procedures following radiation safety standards
• Position patients using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment
• Operate and adjust CT equipment while monitoring patient safety
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, IV starts, and contrast injections
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Dispense oral contrast when required
• Assist with interventional CT procedures
• Evaluate image quality, sequence and label images accurately
• Maintain precise patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Schedule patients and assist with clerical tasks as assigned
• Accurately charge procedures and supplies to patient records
• Follow all Amergis and facility policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

?? Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of CT/CAT Scan experience preferred
• Valid state licensure in Diagnostic Imaging
• ARRT Certification Required
• Current CPR (if applicable)
• Completion of Amergis competency and new hire training
• TB clearance, health certificate, and all required immunizations
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency
• Computer proficiency
• Must be at least 18 years of age
