Occupational Therapist (School-Based) – ESY Summer Program
Location: Falmouth, MA
Pay: Up to $60/hour (based on licensure and experience)
Contract Length: 4–5 weeks
Start Date: July 6, 2026

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with a school district in Falmouth, MA to hire a School-Based Occupational Therapist for their Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program.

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist will support students in maintaining their skills over the summer by providing direct services aligned with ESY goals. This role includes collaboration with staff and ensuring continuity of care during the summer program.

Program Details

• Dates: July 6, 2026 – August 6, 2026
• Schedule:
  • 2 days per week
  • Program hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Flexible scheduling within Monday–Thursday
  • Build your own schedule (up to 10 hours/week)

Student Population

• Grades K–12
• Small preschool population included

Caseload

• Approximately 26 students
• All students receive 1 session per week (30 minutes)
• Students may be grouped when appropriate

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct OT services in alignment with established ESY goals
• Utilize provided materials prepared by school-year therapists
• Group students as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Communicate with school-year OTs regarding carryover and student needs

Planning & Prep Time

• 30 minutes of daily prep time included:
  • 15 minutes before program start
  • 15 minutes after program end

Additional Information

• Focus is on skill maintenance, not development of new goals
• All students will arrive with prepared ESY materials
• Flexible scheduling available to accommodate therapist availability

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student.   

Minimum Requirements: 

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice 
• One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
