In this unique mobile position, you'll help create a welcoming, supportive environment for individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds while working alongside dedicated dental professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.  Finding the right Dental Assistant for a mobile community-based role requires more than technical skills. 

Position Highlights

• Location: Mobile coverage between Livermore and Gilroy, CA
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Contract Length: 53 weeks
• Start Date: August 24, 2026
• Charting System: Epic
• Interview Required: Yes (Amergis conducts interviews and hiring decisions)

What You'll Do

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting both patients and providers by:

• Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and dental equipment
• Sterilizing and organizing instruments according to safety standards
• Completing patient intake documentation
• Updating and maintaining accurate patient records
• Supporting patient comfort and education throughout visits
• Ensuring efficient clinical workflow and infection control compliance
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive patient experience

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Dental Assistant license/certification in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate as required by contract or state regulations
• Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of Dental Assistant experience
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Bilingual skills highly preferred
• Passion for serving diverse and underserved populations
• Desire to work in a community-based healthcare setting

The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize dental tools, and assist during any dental procedures. 

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Current License/Certificate within state of practice
• One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
