Description

Assists physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab.  Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations.  The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field • At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
  • ACLS/PALS per contract requirements.  
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Hours per Week:36Contract Length:13 Week(s)Start Date:09/28/2026Details of Assignment:Ideal tech will be a cross-trained cardiovascular technologist with advanced experience across EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart laboratories. Proficient in supporting high-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases. Proficient in scrubbing electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred). Proficient in scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy), and supporting mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing). Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions Expertise in assisting with radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices.
