Description
The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
Job Details: 13 week contract at a rural hospital West of Madison. This facility is asking for one of the following: Rad Tech who can do CT or a CT tech who will also work as a Rad Tech when needed. Certification is required (CT or Rad Tech). Extra notes: Some nights they may not do any CT's while other nights they could do up to 6 or 7 (If there was a trauma patient which could have 4 CTs for one person) Typical scans would be CT Head, CTA Chest, CTA Head/Neck (for stroke), CT Abd/Pelvis. In the month of August, for CT and X-Ray, on this specific schedule, 30 cases completed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
