Job Description
A large regional referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center in the Winchester, Virginia area is hiring a CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time role. This role requires the nurse advocate for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Responsibilities including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.
Position Overview

Shift Details
- 06:30-17:00
- Every other weekend required
- 40 hours per week
Compensation & Incentives
- Pay range: $44.24 – $54.24 per hour (based on experience)
- Shift differentials if applicable
- Eligible for up to $20,000 sign-on bonus
- Relocation assistance available up to $7,500

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in patient positioning and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout all phases of surgery
- Maintain strict sterile technique and enforce aseptic standards
- Handle and manage surgical specimens accurately
- Operate and monitor surgical equipment including surgical beds, electrocautery, suction devices, video systems, positioning devices, and point-of-care testing equipment
- Monitor surgical equipment to ensure proper function throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in EPIC
- Perform surgical counts pre- and post-procedure to ensure patient safety
- Etc.
Requirements
- Active RN License to work in the state of Virginia
- Bachelors Nursing (BSN) required
- BLS (AHA)
- 2+ years recent CVOR RN experience
