Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Registered Nurse (RN)

Direct Hire | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

 

A high-acuity acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity. This role supports critically ill patients who require advanced monitoring and intervention but do not meet ICU-level criteria. The IMC is a fast-paced, team-driven environment caring for complex patient populations with rapidly changing clinical needs.

 

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000


Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500 reimbursement

 

Position Overview

 

· Permanent, full-time, direct-hire role
· 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
· Rotating weekends required
· High-acuity intermediate care setting
· Continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring
· Strong interdisciplinary teamwork
· Direct impact on patient outcomes and progression of care

 

Shift Details

 

· Full-time, 12-hour shifts
· Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
· Rotating weekends per unit need
· Occasional overtime expected

 

Compensation & Incentives

 

· Hourly pay range: $33.00 – $52.80 (commensurate with experience)
· Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus
· Up to $2,500 relocation reimbursement

Key Responsibilities

 

· Manage high-acuity patients requiring advanced monitoring and rapid intervention
· Care for patient populations including sepsis, DKA, post–open heart procedures, and cardiac infusions
· Monitor and respond to hemodynamic and respiratory status changes
· Manage patients requiring non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP)
· Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
· Serve as a patient advocate and educator for patients and families
· Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
· Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record

 

Requirements

 

· Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of permanent residency
· American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
· NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (active or ability to obtain prior to hire)
· Acute care experience required; IMC, PCU, or ICU experience preferred
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
