Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract duration.
Highlights:
- 36-bed cardiac telemetry unit serving adult to geriatric patient populations in private rooms
- Specialize in post-cardiac intervention care including cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant recovery
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Epic charting system with 16-hour orientation period
- 91-day travel assignment with competitive compensation and benefits
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license or compact state license
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive drip management, post-cardiac catheterization care, and IV therapy
- Must reside outside of the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
