Job Opportunity – OR Tech / Surgical Tech – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Northern California coastal region

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts with variable start times (06:30, 08:30, or 11:00). 12-hour shifts also available starting at 06:30. Weekend shifts available on separate rotation. On-call rotation approximately 1 weekend per month and 1-2 nights per week. Average daily surgical case volume of 30 cases across 10 operating rooms.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital setting with diverse surgical case mix including General, Plastics, Ortho, Neuro Spine, Vascular, OB/GYN, Urology, and ENT procedures
• Experience with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi robotic system, Stryker, and Medtronic equipment
• Float opportunities to SPD and Endoscopy departments for expanded skill development
• Serve patients across all age groups from pediatrics through geriatrics
• Flexible shift options with 8-hour and 12-hour scheduling available
• Limited time-off restrictions with maximum 7 consecutive days allowed

Requirements:

• Valid California state license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of OR Tech/Surgical Tech experience required
• Current BLS certification and either CST or NCCT certification required
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience
• Comprehensive skills in diverse surgical procedures and equipment operation
• Ability to float to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
