Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Northern California wine country region

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required. On-call availability may be needed depending on census. 40 hours of orientation provided.

200-bed acute care hospital with Epic charting system
Patient ratios of 1:2, with daily census of 2-3 patients and approximately 15 visits per day
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams

First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience
Local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies at adjusted rate

Requirements:

Valid California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS and AWHONN preferred
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Epic charting system experience required
Proficiency in sterile vaginal exams (hard stop requirement)
Experience with labor and delivery procedures including vaginal delivery, cesarean section support, epidural anesthesia, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation
Ability to float to postpartum and potentially to affiliate facilities nearby
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
