Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 Day shifts (shift times vary: 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30), weekend coverage required, call limited to coverage for call-offs only

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital
407-bed facility recognized as U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital in Alaska
Diverse surgical caseload including trauma, orthopedic/spine, neurosurgery, gynecology, ENT, urology, vascular, and bariatric procedures
Advanced surgical technology including XI Robot, Stealth, and Mazor Robot Spine systems
18 operating rooms with Epic charting system and comprehensive interdisciplinary support
Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period with scrubs provided and free parking

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending license accepted for submission; must have license in hand for final offer)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Trauma Level I experience preferred
Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
