Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Apple Valley, CA 92307

Start Date: August 11, 2026

Location: Apple Valley, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM). 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Work in a 212-bed acute care hospital serving a diverse patient population including orthopedics, post-surgical, and general medical cases
• Treat a variety of diagnoses including total hip and knee replacements, CABG, fractures, stroke rehabilitation, and general medical conditions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapy and speech-language pathology in a supportive, community-based hospital environment
• Epic charting system with free parking provided
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum one year of experience
• Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in emergency, ICU, and medical-surgical settings

Requirements:

• Active California Physical Therapy license (must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care physical therapy experience
• Strong clinical skills in acute care, gait training, home exercise programs, patient/family education, and discharge planning
• Experience with orthopedic conditions (hip fractures, total joint replacements), cardiac conditions (CHF, CABG, MI), COPD, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Proficiency in ROM exercises, assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, strength testing, and vital signs monitoring
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
