Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Torrance, CA 90503

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Torrance, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend flexibility required. Patient ratio of 2:1. Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment at a 356-bed acute care hospital with 210-257 births per month
• 21-bed Labor and Delivery unit caring for low and high-risk patients including TOLAC, antepartum with multiples, hypertensive disorders, and diabetic conditions
• Epic charting system with free parking provided
• Precepting skills preferred; opportunity to support and mentor team members
• Float to Mother/Baby unit as needed; may be required to float to other facilities within the state
• Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM in lieu of), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; LTAC experience required
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Strong clinical skills including circulating and recovering cesarean sections, blood transfusion, application of internal monitoring devices (FSE and IUPC), newborn care, and non-stress testing
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Ability to float between like units and potentially to other facilities within the state
