Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care setting

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. This is a 13-week travel assignment with approximately 200 deliveries per month. Float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

• Work in a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location
• Comprehensive perinatal unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• No on-call requirement; focus on labor and delivery with occasional postpartum float
• Diverse clinical experience including fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy management, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Opportunity to provide couplet care and newborn role at delivery

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM acceptable), ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM (AHA certifications required for ACLS/BLS)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills required: assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, sterile vaginal exam; scrubbing for C-section is a bonus
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
