Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Surgical ICU – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: July 6, 2026 or July 20, 2026 (biweekly orientation)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays as required. Overtime available after 48 hours per week.

• 13-week assignment in a specialized 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU)
• Focus on post-operative recovery for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care
• Complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring and patient-centered approach to care
• Supported by a dedicated cardiovascular educator and collaborative team environment
• Opportunity to work with an 8-bed stepdown unit (CSU) for comprehensive cardiac care experience
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with flexible scheduling options

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• AHA PALS preferred if working in pediatric unit
• Must be willing to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
