Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (shift times between 07:00 - 17:00). Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule required. Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period. 13-week assignment with potential extension up to 1 calendar year.

Highlights:

• Work at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 407 staffed beds and Level II Trauma designation
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 patients focusing on discharge planning and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Utilize Epic charting system in a state-of-the-art acute care environment
• Free parking and scrubs provided
• Comprehensive orientation with 24-40 hours of onboarding support

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license in hand (required for immediate consideration; pending licenses may be screened but take 10-12 weeks to process)
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification preferred
• ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Experience with discharge planning, utilization review, InterQual criteria, and CMS guidelines strongly preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
