Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Torrance, CA 90503

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Torrance, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30). Every other weekend required. Must be available for holiday coverage (commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays required). Patient caseload up to 25. No floating required.

• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Business attire or scrubs accepted
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (pending license accepted but must be active by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers considered with screening
• InterQual criteria experience highly preferred
• Experience with admission criteria, care coordination, discharge planning, and medical necessity determinations
• Knowledge of Medicare/MediCal guidelines, HMOs, IPAs, and insurance authorization processes
• Competency in arranging DME, SNF placement, and ambulance transport independently
• Experience with diverse patient populations and social determinants of health (homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, foster care/adoption)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
