Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (shift times vary between 07:00-17:00). Weekend coverage required (every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule). Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period. 13-week assignment with potential for extension up to 1 calendar year.

Highlights:

• Work at a Magnet-designated, 407-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 patients focusing on discharge planning and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and case management workflows
• Free parking provided; scrubs supplied by the facility
• Comprehensive orientation with 24-40 hours of training to ensure success

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required prior to offer
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience; acute care hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification preferred; ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Experience with InterQual criteria, Milliman guidelines, ICD-10 coding, and utilization review preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float within case management services as needed
• Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
