Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend coverage required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period). Patient ratio 1:3. No on-call required. No floating between units.

Highlights:

  • Work in a 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI facility with advanced emergency services
  • 42-room emergency department with 46 beds and average daily census of 136 patients
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
  • Treat diverse patient populations across all age groups with varied diagnoses including trauma, stroke, cardiac emergencies, and acute care conditions
  • Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience (required)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 1:3
  • Community hospital experience required; LTAC and trauma experience preferred
  • Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke care, dysrhythmia management, triage, and isolation precautions
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
