Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend coverage required: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period. No on-call required. Block schedules approved but not required.
Highlights:
- Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds and comprehensive stroke capabilities
- Emergency department with 46 beds, 42 treatment rooms, and average daily census of 136 patients
- Manageable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 across all shifts
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
- 91-day assignment with 36-40 hours of paid orientation

Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:3 preferred
- Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
- Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke care, dysrhythmia management, and triage
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
