Job Opportunity – Clinical Lab Scientist (Blood Bank) – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 4x10-hour shifts (9:30 PM - 7:30 AM, with potential flex to 8:00 PM start time as needed). Rotating weekends and holidays required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.

Requirements:

  • ASCP-BB or ACP-BB certification required; Clinical Immunohematology Scientist certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent/current blood bank experience (within past 2 years) required
  • Seasoned travel experience in blood bank settings required – multiple travel assignments preferred
  • Large hospital experience (300+ beds) required
  • Trauma Level I experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic experience required; blood bank software experience (any system) required
  • Experience with Wellsky and Immucor instrumentation preferred
  • Valid California Clinical Lab Scientist license or compact license in hand at time of submission
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
  • Must provide daytime Pacific Time interview availability at time of application
