Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cath Lab – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30), 126-day assignment through February 1, 2027. On-call required based on needs with 30-minute response time, averaging 10 call shifts within a 6-week period including one weekend of call. Four weekend shifts required per contract. Daily census includes 3 scheduled cases with up to 9 cases per day including emergency cases.

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location
• 4-room Cath Lab utilizing Epic charting system and state-of-the-art equipment including Impella LVAD, IABP, and Phillips hemodynamic monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation
• Treat diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with conditions ranging from ST-elevated MIs to peripheral vascular disease
• Perform advanced procedures including coronary angiograms, PTCA, angioplasty, electrophysiological studies, and stroke interventions
• Interventional radiology experience is a plus

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Required skills: diagnostic cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, antihypertensives, procedural sedation, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, thrombolytics, ventilator management, and drip management (Lasix)
• Experience with medications including nitroglycerin, epinephrine, neosynephrine, norepinephrine, TPA, Lasix, and Isuprel
• Clean background check required; previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers not accepted
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
