Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: October 6, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00 - 18:00), 6 weekend shifts per contract required (Saturday and Sunday for day shifts)
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a busy Labor and Delivery unit with LDRP model
- Daily census of 14 patients with 100-200 facility births per month
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
- Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3
- Care for neonatal and adult patient populations in a dynamic perinatal environment
Requirements:
- Active Texas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
