Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-Hour (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required (6 weekends per contract; for night shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). One pre-approved time off period available.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment in a Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit with 14-15 bed capacity
Work with a diverse patient population including neonates and adults in a facility performing 100-200 births per month
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3
Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of paid orientation
Two positions available for this assignment

Requirements:

Active RN license (Texas or Compact state license required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted for this unit
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced level)
Epic charting system experience required
Previous charge experience preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
Proficiency in comprehensive L&D skills including fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, C-section circulation/recovery, couplet care, and postpartum hemorrhage management
Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
