Description
Job Opportunity – Surgical Technologist – Santa Rosa, CA 95405
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00). Variable shift start times may include 7am, 9am, 11am, or 3pm. Weekend coverage and call required per unit needs. One night shift may be required during contract. 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation.
Highlights:
- Acute care facility with 8 operating rooms and daily census of 25 patients
- Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN procedures
- Level I Trauma center experience with exposure to complex cases including total joints, ortho trauma, and emergency procedures
- Advanced surgical technology including da Vinci Xi robotic system, Stealth Navigation Station, and comprehensive laparoscopic equipment
- Float opportunities to nearby sister facilities for expanded experience
- Holiday commitment: work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of surgical tech experience required; 5 years preferred
- Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Level I Trauma center experience required (hard stop requirement)
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, robotics, and trauma (hard stop requirements)
- Current BLS certification required
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and NBSTSA certification required or strongly preferred
- California state license preferred; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Required skills: Case cart, crash cart, scrubbing; Preferred skills: Craniotomy, airway management
- Experience with microscope, laparoscopic camera and tower equipment, and arthroscope equipment required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
