Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:6. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of contract). Float required as needed.

• 91-day travel assignment in a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
• Specialized focus on vascular disease diagnoses with medical-surgical and telemetry overflow
• 16-bed unit featuring 12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms with adult patient population
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with previous travel experience preferred
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, and other medical-surgical skills
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
