Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to PCU, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Highlights:

• Float pool position supporting multiple units including PCU, telemetry, medical-surgical, and ER boarded patients
• 325-bed short-term acute care facility utilizing Epic charting system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination
• Diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with varied diagnoses and acuity levels
• 24 hours of orientation provided to support your transition

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience working in the United States healthcare system required
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in PCU/stepdown skills including cardiac telemetry, central line management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
