Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – NICU – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 2:1 patient ratio. Block scheduling available upon request. Intermittent weekend coverage required with flexibility to accommodate schedule preferences. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays during the assignment period.

Highlights:

• Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and average daily census of 50 patients
• Care for micro-preemies starting at 23-24 weeks gestation with comprehensive critical care experience
• Dedicated admit nurse handles admissions; travelers focus on ongoing patient care
• Advanced procedures including high-frequency ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, PICC/central lines, and attendance at high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required (Level III for at least 3 years or Level IV for at least 2 years)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with administration of blood products, central line care, neonatal dosage calculations, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPap/PEEP)
• Proficiency with feeding tubes, therapeutic hypothermia, and care of extremely premature neonates (29+ weeks)
• Must be willing to float to nearby campuses as needed; may occasionally float to pediatrics (infants only) or serve as a sitter
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
