Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 91-day assignment. Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule period. Patient ratios of 1:4 during nights, 1:5 on weekends.

Highlights:

  • Work in a 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center with dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit featuring four beds for continuous EEG monitoring
  • Care for diverse neurosurgical and neurologic patients including stroke, trauma, epilepsy, and post-neurosurgery cases
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment with dedicated mentors and strong support services including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • EPIC electronic health record system in a fast-paced, team-oriented unit with 29 beds and average daily census of 27
  • Float opportunities between units; first-time travelers welcome with at least one year of experience

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum one year of MS/Telemetry nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, neurology stepdown, and stroke care
  • Proficiency with electronic charting systems; EPIC experience preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center and community hospital experience preferred
  • Must be located outside 50-mile local radius or willing to accept adjusted compensation
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • Commitment to work three of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
