Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to meet institutional needs across multiple units including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical. Weekend coverage required; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care facility
• Dynamic float pool role supporting diverse patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• EPIC charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to utilize broad clinical skills across telemetry, medical-surgical, and cardiac step-down environments

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients required
• Cardiac telemetry experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must have clinical experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Cardiac step-down experience ideal but not required
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
