Job Opportunity – Surgical Technologist – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00). Variable shift start times may include 7am, 9am, 11am, or 3pm. Weekend coverage and call required per unit needs. 13-week contract with 40 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Acute care facility with 8 operating rooms and daily census of 25 procedures
• Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics (total joints and trauma), neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN
• Trauma Level I experience required – critical requirement for this position
• Advanced surgical technology including da Vinci Xi robotic system, Stealth Navigation Station, microscope, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic equipment
• Opportunity to work with complex procedures including craniotomies, EVAR, spinal fusions, and microvascular free flaps
• Travel assignment with potential to float to nearby sister facilities as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of surgical tech experience required; 5 years preferred
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Trauma Level I experience is mandatory – hardstop requirement
• Experience in orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, and robotic surgery required
• Current BLS certification required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and NBSTSA certification preferred
• California state license preferred; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with case cart, crash cart, and scrubbing required
• Craniotomy and airway management experience preferred
• Must provide two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off during contract
