Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cath Lab – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Beachside Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30), 13-week assignment. On-call required based on needs with 30-minute response time, averaging 10 call shifts within a 6-week period including one weekend of call. Four weekend shifts required per contract.

Highlights:

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside setting
• Cath lab with 4 rooms handling 3 scheduled cases daily, up to 9 cases with emergency procedures
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation
• Epic charting system with advanced equipment including Impella LVAD, IABP, intravascular ultrasound, and rotoblator atherectomy device
• Interventional radiology experience is a plus
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including left/right heart catheterization, coronary angiograms, PTCA, angioplasty, and electrophysiology studies
• Proficiency with critical drips including vasopressors, antihypertensives, thrombolytics, and procedural sedation
• Skills in IABP placement/removal, pulmonary artery line monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and ventilator management
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
