Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Gun Barrel City, TX 75156

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Gun Barrel City, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly options available. Patient ratios: 3:1 days, 4:1 nights, 3:1 weekends. Daily census of approximately 65 visits.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital emergency department
• Epic charting system with 12-hour onsite orientation
• Comprehensive emergency care for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• 11-bed emergency department with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and radiology
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including blood product administration, ventilator care, central line management, and procedural sedation
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
