Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse Case Manager – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts. Shift times vary between 0700-1800. Weekend coverage required (every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule). Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period.

• Caseload of approximately 30 patients with focus on discharge planning and care coordination
• 13 or 26-week contract options available with flexibility to meet your career goals

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (must be in hand for offer)
• Current BLS certification preferred
• ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with discharge planning, utilization review, InterQual criteria, appeals and denials, and medical necessity determinations
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines, ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA regulations
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float within case management services as needed
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
