Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – Carbondale, IL 62901
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; holiday requests considered on an individual basis
Highlights:
- 35-bed unit featuring all private patient rooms with two nurses stations
- Primarily surgical patient population with some medical overflow based on facility needs
- Supportive staffing model with shift supervisor, patient care techs on every shift, and 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shift
- 91-day travel assignment with competitive compensation including overtime and holiday pay
- Flexible scheduling with manager willing to accommodate time-off requests
Requirements:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification required
- Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
