Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit/Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Newport, VT 05855

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Newport, Vermont – Northeast Kingdom region

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week, includes every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment at a 25-bed critical access hospital in the scenic Northeast Kingdom
• Opportunity to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
• Cross-training opportunities with float rotation to Emergency Department and Mother-Child Health units as needed
• Located in a small town offering abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Quick start opportunity available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license or compact state license
• Progressive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry nursing experience required
• Ability to work independently and assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Willingness to float to other units including Emergency Department and Mother-Child Health
• Participation in department quarterly education sessions required
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transportation
