Job Opportunity – Clinical Lab Scientist (Blood Bank) – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 4x10-hour shifts (9:30 PM - 7:30 AM, with potential flex to 8:00 PM start time as needed). Rotating weekends and holidays required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.

• High-volume blood bank environment processing 30-50 samples daily with extensive type/screen and crossmatch procedures

Requirements:

• ASCP-BB certification required; Clinical Immunohematology Scientist certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent/current blood bank experience (within the past 2 years) required
• Seasoned travel experience with multiple blood bank assignments required – first-time travelers will not be considered
• Level I Trauma center experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred
• Large hospital experience (300+ beds) required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Blood bank software experience required (any system); Wellsky and Immucor instrumentation experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently on night shift with confidence and competence
• Valid California Clinical Lab Scientist license or compact license in hand at time of submission
