Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Patient ratio of 4:1. Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds available. Average daily census of 105 patients. 40 hours of orientation provided.

• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (or willingness to obtain prior to start), ENPC
• Experience with patient ratio of 4:1
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including trauma care, ventilator management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, triage, and emergency medications
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required
