Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to meet institutional needs across multiple units including emergency department boarded patients, telemetry, medical-surgical, and other areas as needed. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

  • Float pool position providing variety and diverse clinical experience across multiple specialties
  • Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and more
  • Opportunity to utilize charge nurse experience on select smaller units
  • Adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • Must have clinical experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
  • Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and telemetry monitoring
  • Cardiac step-down experience ideal but not required
  • Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
