Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506
Start Date: October 20, 2026
Location: Olympia, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to meet institutional needs across multiple units including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical.
Highlights:
- 91-day travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Float RN role providing critical support across various units based on facility needs
- May include charge responsibilities on smaller units, managing staffing, bed flow, and coordination
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided
- Diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics across multiple specialties
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Must have nursing experience in the United States
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and patient ratios of 4-6 patients
- Willingness to float between units and potentially to sister facilities as needed
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
