Job Opportunity – Operating Room / PACU Registered Nurse – Sitka, AK 99835

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Sitka, Alaska

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, with on-call coverage required (1/3 share). 40 guaranteed hours per week. On-call rate of $4 per hour. Overtime, callback, and holiday rates available.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a beautiful Southeast Alaska community
• Work in a dynamic Operating Room handling diverse surgical cases including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Experience both elective and emergency surgical cases in a critical access hospital setting
• Perioperative responsibilities include circulating, pre-op, and PACU nursing
• Collaborative team environment with after-hours call services for nights, holidays, and weekends
• Competitive compensation with overtime, callback, and holiday rate differentials

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, Associate Degree, or Diploma in Nursing)
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred
