Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatrics – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required (5 shifts per 6-week period). On-call may be required based on unit census. Floating between units may be required within scope of practice.

- Work at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staffed beds and a dedicated 35-bed pediatric unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5, with typical ratios of 1:4
- First-time travelers and candidates with one year of experience are welcome
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Free parking available with convenient access to facility
- 12-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Epic charting system experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, oxygen delivery systems, pediatric med-surg, isolation precautions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, breastfeeding support, feeding management (bottle, breast, gavage), and hyperbilirubinemia care
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
