Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Burbank, CA 91505

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Burbank, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period). Patient ratio 1:2. Assignment duration is 13 weeks.

  • Work in a 392-bed acute care hospital with a 38-bed ICU specializing in medical, cardiac, and neuro intensive care
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI receiving facility with advanced critical care capabilities including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
  • Strong interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Free parking and flexible scrub color policy
  • Charting system: Meditech
  • Guaranteed hours with minimal call-off (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)

Requirements:

  • Active California or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; previous travel experience required
  • Neuro ICU experience is required (strong skills in neurological critical care essential)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Experience with specialized equipment preferred: CRRT (Prismaflex or Prismax), IABP (Cardiosave by Getinge/Maquet), and Impella (Abiomed)
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, central line care, CVA/stroke management, and post-neurosurgery management
  • Willingness to float between like units as needed to meet facility needs
  • Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Candidates located within 50 miles may be considered at adjusted rates
